Summer 2025 - Internships/Fellowships

Volunteer Assistant, Little Sisters Fund

By

Little Sisters Fund (LSF) is a nonprofit organization based in Kathmandu that helps provide long-term educational support and mentoring for at-risk girls in 22 districts in Nepal. The scholarship programs remove the first barrier to education, the cost, but the organization also takes a holistic approach to address other aspects of intergenerational poverty. They aim to create an environment that nourishes empowerment, independence, and leadership through the programs.

Intern/Farm Hand | Birdsfoot Farm

By

Thanks to the support of the SLU Fellowship Program, my summer was spent working at Birdsfoot Farm in Canton, NY. Birdsfoot Farm is first and foremost a community of like minded individuals, similarly passionate about activism and healthy food. The farm itself is a low-till organic farm which cultivates vegetables for its CSA shares, the Canton farmers market, as well as community consumption. I spent the summer working alongside Dulli, the head farmer, and gaining first hand experience in organic farming practices.

Quality and Health Assessment

By

In the second half of the summer, I served as a Quality and Health Assessment Intern at a full-service marine exporting company specializing in macadamia nuts and fish products. The experience pushed me to quickly adapt to a highly technical environment, where I had to learn fast about certification processes, vessel standards, and strict health protocols. I had to  absorb new information quickly and then apply it in practice, whether in understanding regulatory paperwork, reviewing safety logs, or observing port operations in real time.

OBGYN Summer Undergraduate Internship | Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center

By

During Summer 2025, I was fortunate to have an amazing experience working at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center as an intern in OB/GYN. The DHMC Undergraduate Internship Program is a 10-week full time work experience that pairs career development curriculum with work experience in the healthcare industry. Throughout this internship opportunity I gained practical knowledge on how the OB/GYN department can both directly and indirectly influence the patient care experience.
