Bruno Mocumbi '27 is an Environmental Studies - Chemistry combined major from Mozambique that is passionate about studying environmental systems and working towards a more sustainable future. Bruno believes in science as the foundation for meaningful environmental change, and this was reflected in his work using freshwater clams to study the effects of microplastics in freshwater systems. He is interested in pursuing a master's degree that will allow him to further expand his knowledge on quantifying the impacts of environmental processes. The work that he does empowers his belief that it is important to study our vulnerable environment because making people aware is the first step towards getting people to care enough to do something about it.
