Summer 2025
Description

During my time as a Business Development Intern at Nextway Technology, a company specializing in the creation of apps and websites, I was actively involved in supporting the company’s client outreach and growth strategies. My responsibilities included researching and compiling targeted hit lists of potential clients, scheduling appointments with leads, and participating in meetings with local businesses and individuals.

There was a transition period to this professional experience, being abroad and working in an office were both new to me. This experience allowed me to develop strong communication, organizational, and professional skills, while also gaining firsthand insight into the process of expanding a tech company's presence in a local market.

I found this experience though a St. Lawrence program; I applied through the school for the Freeman Foundation SLU Asia Internship Program. The program connected with a company called Nextstep who helped me pair with Nextway Technology INC. It was a great experience where I learned about what type of work I want to pursue. My time in Vietnam has convinced me that I wish to explore global economics further especially in Asia.
