During my time with the United States Department of Energy, I have assisted with the administrative side of things within the office that I work with. I have conducted logistics for meetings weekly and monthly with several hundred invited participants of which there are about 100-200 regular attendees. I often have served as the point of contact between the office and various other colleagues from across the DOE enterprise. First and foremost from all of this is the connections that I have made, and the experience that I have gained thus far through this internship. The opportunity to go back to it in the summer was something that I truly am happy that I was able to do with the help of some generous funding. I had the opportunity to continue my internship over the summer virtually, but through the help of that aforementioned generous funding, I was able to go back down to Washington D.C. to continue my internship in person, which I feel is the best way to gain that experience that so many people look for in an internship. I am very grateful to St. Lawrence and the generous funding that was provided so that I could have this great opportunity! I am hoping to continue a career following my graduation in May 2025 back down in D.C. within a great field such as this!
