Description
This past summer, I was a Research Fellow in the Department of Molecular Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. My research was conducted in a virology lab. There, I studied how novel measles virus mutants infect and spread, and how these mechanisms relate to subacute sclerosing panencephalitis, a rare and fatal neurodegenerative disease caused by persistent measles virus infection.
