During my engineering internship at CBS News, I had the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of projects that enriched my understanding of both broadcasting and software engineering. One facet of my role involved diving into broadcasting engineering tasks, where I gained hands-on experience in repairing and troubleshooting hardware signal transmission equipment, ensuring seamless and reliable news broadcasts. Simultaneously, I delved into the world of software engineering, where I took on the challenge of redesigning an internal website dedicated to wire keeping, employing PHP, HTML, SQL, and CSS to enhance functionality and user experience. Perhaps one of the most exciting and rewarding projects was the opportunity to contribute to the design of a modern and functional live truck, tailored to support news coverage of off-station events. This experience not only honed my engineering skills but also deepened my appreciation for the crucial role technology plays in delivering news to the public.
