Elizabeth Poe

My name is Elizabeth Poe, and I am from New Russia, New York. I am in the Class of 2026 at St. Lawrence University, where I am majoring in Sociology, minoring in Education. I am passionate in education and plan on entering the field as an elementary teacher. 

In my free time I enjoy being outside, watching movies, and singing. I love spending time with my friends and practicing mindfulness activities. 

Over the summer, I conducted research with the guidance of my advisor, Jeff Frank. I wanted to learn more about the impacts of technology on one's ability to feel a sense of belongingness, especially in the classroom. This research has given me the opportunity to think deeply about my future as a teacher and apply my findings to my career.
