My name is Cora, and I am a senior student athlete at St. Lawrence. When I am not in classes or on the field, you will probably find me in the lab working on research. I spent last summer at Vanderbilt where I developed a new laser ablation system for wound healing studies. Currently, I am working on a research project for my SYE where I am analyzing the effects of electromagnetic fields on neural stem growth and development. While research can be challenging, I enjoy how it allows me to leverage my creativity to solve problems. My interests lie in using science to break down accessibility barriers in our society because I believe everyone should have equitable opportunities to pursue their passions without the limitations of these obstacles.
