During my internship at Yale I spent most of my time analyzing microscope images from the lab to quantify the number and types of cells within lung section samples. I edited images, identified cells, created pipelines, and troubleshooted analsysis to help present data showing links between cell stress and key cells in the lung.
The internship also gave me a ton of insight into how the lab operates and what current progress in science looks like. I had to learn a lot about software that I wasn't very familiar with and learned a ton about an area of Biology that I had never gotten to study before.
I'm incredibly grateful for this oppurtunity as my time working with this lab was absoutely amazing and gave me a chance to really get to see the newest advances in Biology. My experience in the lab was extraordinary and has granted me a ton of further insight into what I eventually want to do in the field.
