Support
This summer I was in NYC taking part in the Bard Globalization and International Affairs program (BGIA), in which students intern during the day for academic credit and take international relations courses in the evening. I was a Marketing Communications Intern at Mission: Cure, a public health organization dedicated to finding innovative therapies and treatments to cure rare diseases, starting with pancreatitis. My main goal for this summer was to grow professionally. I wanted the opportunity to feel comfortable in corporate environments, improve my communications skills in professional settings, and network to build critical relationships moving forward.
My primary responsibility at Mission: Cure was to manage their digital platform. This included implementing strategies and content that would best resonate with our audience. This experience has been very beneficial as it gave me the creative liberty to find the best ways to amplify and maximize Mission: Cure's digital presence. Additionally, it provided ample opportunity for me to meet and get acquainted with multiple people within the fields that I am most interested in. It has been a tremendous learning experience and I am so grateful for the support I received from St. Lawrence University and donors!
