Business in the Liberal Arts
Economics
Passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, and relationship building. Looking to pursue a career in real estate and entrepreneurship. Seeking ways to improve my communication and sales skills.
Semester:
Summer 2024
Description

I built relationships with numerous retail stores in the areas of New Hampshire, Boston, and Martha's Vineyard. I worked towards opening an account with the store for Opolis and their products.

Being passionate about the brand's mission and the products being sold, it was a great experience to be able to travel around and meet these stores owner's/buyers.

I greatly expanded my skills in communication, sales, relationship building, teamwork, and organization.

The outcomes of my work included several connections built between Opolis Optics and retailer stores in the east coast, including Lahout's, Sport Thoma, Buchika's, Island Outfitters, The Boneyard, and much more.

This will greatly impact my career development moving forward because I have learned may lessons about persistence and following up. As an entrepreneur myself, I have to learn that results do not happen immediately. Persistence and determination are the determining factors in success in sales and building relationships.
